We’re proud to spotlight one of our outstanding graduates whose journey is a true testament to the power of career-focused education. Mahailia Dugan completed not just one, but two of our hands-on programs: Certified EKG Technician and Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Her story is a shining example of how Saint Joe’s career programs are opening doors, building confidence, and preparing students for meaningful work in the medical field. We invite our alumni and friends to learn more about her inspiring path and see how these programs are changing lives every day.
Here’s her story in her own words:
Following my graduation from Saint Joseph's College, I actively pursued opportunities within the medical field. After gaining experience in two prior roles, I secured my dream position in an urgent care setting at a family medicine clinic. This role is incredibly rewarding; I'm deeply grateful for the chance to contribute to the recovery and rehabilitation of patients following traumatic accidents. My responsibilities include providing one-on-one patient care, ensuring they receive optimal treatment, and witnessing their progress firsthand.
Attending Saint Joseph's and completing my certifications was a pivotal decision. The flexible scheduling allowed me to balance work and studies effectively, making my education both affordable and achievable. I am particularly thankful for the exceptional faculty and the supportive learning environment. The relationships formed with my classmates have also been invaluable.
Ultimately, my education at Saint Joseph's has enabled me to realize my aspirations and pursue a career where I can positively impact the lives of others. The opportunity to give back to my community and make a difference is truly fulfilling. I wholeheartedly recommend Saint Joseph's College as an excellent institution; it provides the necessary foundation for those pursuing a career in the medical profession and offers a supportive environment for students to thrive. I am excited to see the many future successes of Saint Joseph's graduates.
