On this Giving Tuesday, we are celebrating a year of growth and momentum at Saint Joseph’s College.
In 2025, our College made meaningful progress as we carried out our mission. We continued our commitment to hands-on learning, strengthened community partnerships, and built new pathways that prepare students for real careers in high-demand fields. This progress would not have been possible without the generosity of people who believe in our mission and invest in the future we are building together.
We are proud to highlight several milestones that are helping shape a stronger Saint Joseph’s.
Updating our campus to support the future growth of the Building and Trades program.
We are installing a new HVAC system in the Rec Center that will allow the building to operate independently from the boiler house. This renovation is the first step toward transforming the Rec Center into a dedicated Trades Hub, which will support future program expansion into additional skilled trades. The installation is taking shape and is expected to be done in the next few months.
Growing academic partnerships for high-demand careers.
We recently established new academic partnerships that strengthen our certificate pathways and open doors for students. Our partnership with Indiana Tech provides students with the opportunity to earn credits toward an Associate or Bachelor degree, creating a clear pathway for those who wish to continue their education beyond their certificate. We also launched an affiliation with Purdue University’s Veterinary Nursing Distance Learning Program, which formally recognizes the strength of our Veterinary Assistant curriculum and its role in preparing students for careers in veterinary medicine.
Progress in our Building and Trades program.
Our first student-built home has been completed and is now in the process of being sold. This accomplishment reflects the craftsmanship, teamwork, and hands-on learning that define the program. Construction is already underway on our next home, giving another class of students the opportunity to participate in a full build from start to finish. We also welcomed seniors from Lafayette’s Faith Christian School for a week of hands-on experience, which helped expand early exposure to the trades and support continued education.
Enhancing workforce readiness through CDL training.
Our CDL Academy continues to train individuals who want a career behind the wheel through our CDL Class A program. At the same time, our CDL Class B program has become an important resource for local counties and businesses seeking specialized training for their employees. These partnerships support regional workforce needs while helping individuals gain valuable career-ready skills.
Strengthening relationships with partner education institutions.
Our campus continues to benefit from collaborative partnerships with other training and education providers. We maintain an ongoing relationship with the Indiana Agriculture and Technology School, whose high school students use our campus greenhouse to support their learning objectives. We also host the Indiana Municipal Electric Association’s Lineman Training Institute, which provides a strong pathway into the electric utility industry. Several lineman students have even completed their CDL training through our CDL Academy, demonstrating how these partnerships create shared value and broaden career opportunities across programs.
As we look toward 2026, we remain committed to expanding these opportunities, supporting more students, and strengthening our impact throughout the region.
Your support is what makes this work possible. On this Giving Tuesday, a day when generosity inspires real change, we invite you to help us continue offering programs that open doors and change lives.
Every gift, no matter the size, strengthens the programs that support students, serve communities, and build futures filled with purpose, skill, and opportunity.
