Commentary
Additionally there are various commentaries on the Hebrew Scriptures, such as
the Collegeville Commentaries and the Anchor Bible series are both good.
ASSIGNMENTS
Each student will be responsible for an exegesis, a paper on a figure from the
historical books, a paper on one of the prophets and a practical application of
a text from the Hebrew Scriptures, e.g., a reflection for a prayer service, a
lesson on something in the Hebrew Scripture.
1. Exegesis (2-3 pages)

3. A Prophet (3-4 pages)
4. A practical application of the Hebrew Scriptures (@ 5 pages) and presentation
