Covington, Louisiana -
Collegiate Challenge 2007
We left campus at midnight, Saturday, March 3 and drove through the
night to reach Covington Sunday afternoon. Monday was our free
day and we spent time at the Global Wildlife Center in Folsom,
Louisiana, befor going across Lake Ponchartrain to New Orleans.
Students enjoyed
exploring the city, and we ended the day eating dinner at Tulane
University.
Our work week began on Tuesday, and consisted of helping in a 24-home
subdivision built by "Operation Home Delivery."

Homes were constructed in pieces
off-site and trucked in to be assembled by volunteers and
construction experts. Our group from SJC did landscaping, porches
& flooring, foundation prep, and other jobs.
