Professors care about your success
The school has a great atmosphere; everyone is very friendly and welcoming, especially the professors. The best
thing about SJC is the faculty. The professors really care about you and want you to succeed.
The Core Program
The Core Program does seem a little strange at first, but it helps a great deal with writing and communication skills. I really like that I get the opportunity to do my major every semester I am here instead of having to take gen eds the first two years. The Core Program is what really helps for students to be able to start their major as a freshman.
Start your own club
SJC has a lot of clubs to choose from. There is a lot to do. If someone does not find a club that interests them, they can easily start up their own club. The clubs are student-run.
SJC welcomes all faiths
SJC does a lot with their Campus Ministry Program welcomes all faiths or non-faiths with open arms. They have many campus and off-campus opportunities for participation.
SJC is very affordable
I have the Band Performance Scholarship, Kious-Waugh Grant (SJC Grant), and the SJC Scholarship. This school is very helpful when it comes to affordability.
SJC's Chinese summer program students are on the United International College (UIC) website
