Activities or clubs you're involved in at SJC?
I am involved in the Puma Activities Council (PAC), Foreign Language Club, Orchestra
Are you getting financial aid and if so, what kind? How is it helping you to attend SJC?
I have an SJC scholarship and a Music Performance Scholarship. These scholarships make it more affordable for me to attend
this school. It reduces the heavy burden it places on my wallet.
Why did you choose SJC?
There are a limited number of colleges in Indiana that offer both Chinese and Psychology.
I was looking for a small college, and thought SJC to be the perfect choice.
I love that our religion and education are equally important.
What are your plans for the future or what career plans do you have?
I aspire to be a counseling psychologist for children and adolescents. I also hope to go overseas and teach and interpret Chinese.
How do you feel about Core?
Core is a great program. I love that we have lectures twice a week, followed by a discussion and writing class. I believe it
is very important to be able to use all three skills to fully understand the information. Core is a great way to achieve this.
Do you feel that Core has helped you in your other classes within your major? How do you think Core will help
you after graduation?
Core has helped me improve my writing and critical thinking skills. After graduation, I will be
able to use all of the information I learned in Core to help me during graduate school.
