SJC Announces Huhn Scholarship Recipient
Saint Joseph's College has announced Sergej Stjepic of Fort Wayne, Ind. as the recipient of the Thomas J. Huhn Scholarship. Stjepic was a member of the football, wrestling, and track team at Northrop High School in Fort Wayne. The son of Tihomir and Aleksandra Stjepic, he plans to major in Biology at SJC.
The Huhn Scholarship is a four-year, full-tuition, room and board scholarship. It is given to an incoming freshman who has exhibited exceptional leadership skills, maintained a 2.5 GPA in high school, played basketball or football in high school, and resides and attends high school in Allen County, Ind. or its contiguous counties. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must complete the SJC admission process by January 31. If selected to compete for the Huhn Scholarship, the student will be invited to the scholarship competition.
Saint Joseph's College, named a "character-building college" by the Templeton Foundation and a "best Midwestern college" by the Princeton Review, is a four-year, Catholic college offering 27 majors, 4 group majors, 34 minors, and 9 pre-professional programs, complemented by the nationally acclaimed Core Program. Founded and sponsored by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood, SJC is located in Rensselaer, Indiana, approximately 90 minutes from both Chicago and Indianapolis, on a park-like campus of 180 acres and has an enrollment of 1,100 students.
