Upcoming Trips Promise To Be Theatrical

Last summer, a group from SJC traveled to Michigan for a wine tour.
The Saint Joseph's College Office of Alumni and Parent Relations will be offering several exciting excursions this summer to locations such as Chicago and Indianapolis.
The first trip will be the Chicago River Architecture Cruise and Theatre Tour on Tuesday, July 12. The day will begin with a guided tour of the city's Oriental Theatre and Cadillac Palace Theatre located in the heart of the Theatre District. Visitors will learn about the history of each structure and how the designs were conceived.
Lunch will be at historic Navy Pier, where guests can enjoy a meal at one of the many nearby eateries. Everyone will then board the ship for the Chicago River cruise, which will spotlight more than 50 significant sites and provide a new perspective on the Windy City. The ship features an open-air section and indoor climate-controlled seating.
The cost for the trip is $70, which includes the tours, river cruise, transportation, and refreshments. Lunch is on-your-own at Navy Pier. The bus will leave SJC's McHale Hall parking lot at 8:00 am CDT.
On Friday, August 5, a group will be taken to see "West Side Story" at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago. Considered one of the greatest and most enduring love stories ever, this production of "West Side Story" has been honored with a Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album.
The trip costs $95 per person, which includes ticket, transportation, and refreshments. The bus will leave from McHale Hall parking lot at 3:00 pm CDT. Dinner is on-your-own, and the show begins at 7:30 pm CDT.
On Thursday, October 6, there will be a trip to see "Singin' in the Rain" at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre in Indianapolis. The popular movie from Hollywood's Golden Age has undergone a seamless transition to the stage. The bus will leave from McHale Hall parking lot at 8:30 am CDT. The cost is $75 per person, which includes ticket, lunch, transportation, and refreshments.
There will be another trip to the Cadillac Palace Theatre on Friday, December 2, to see the musical "Memphis." "Memphis" takes place in the smoky halls and underground clubs of the segregated 1950's, where a young white DJ named Huey Calhoun fell in love with everything he shouldn't: rock and roll and an electrifying black singer.
The bus will depart from McHale Hall parking lot at 3:00 pm CST. The cost is $95, which includes ticket, transportation, and refreshments. Dinner is on-your-own, and the show begins at 7:30 pm CST.
