Gallagher Hall
This residence hall is named for Robert A. Gallagher, the first Chairman of the SJC Board of Lay Trustees. Freshmen reside in traditional double-occupancy rooms and upper-class students live in two- and three-room suites, which house two and four students, respectively. Renovated during the summer of 2000, all rooms have air-conditioning and wired and wireless access to the local computer network.
Gallagher is home to the Gallagher Softball Tournament, an annual event in April sponsored by Gallagher Hall for all residents who want to organize teams. It also started the Gallagher Charitable Society (GCS), a student organization that sponsors an annual food drive and Christmas party for needy children in the area. The party, which provides children and their families a hot breakfast, new and used toys, a chance to visit with Santa, and staple food items to take home, has been strongly supported by faculty, staff, and students across campus as well as local businesses.
