Variety: The History Department at SJC offers courses in United States, European, and several non-Western histories, as well as courses that teach and utilize the basic skills of historical research.
Dedication to Excellence: The History Department claims some of the better students at Saint Joseph's College, many graduating in the top 10% of their class. The Department is currently a pipeline for high school teaching. It has placed more people in the Washington Center than any other department.
Hands-on Experience: The History faculty at SJC encourages all of their students to participate in internships with high profile businesses. Opportunities for internships through SJC currently exist at the Washington Center, the United States Supreme Court, The Washington Museum in Washington, D.C., and with the Lake County Parks in Crown Point, Indiana. Faculty and Class Size: The History faculty at Saint Joseph's College consists of professors who hold master's or doctorate degrees in their fields of expertise and have traveled all over the globe, including Peru, Costa Rica, Africa, India, Egypt, England, Jordan, Syria, and Vietnam.
