A Welcome from the Mayor of Rensselaer, Mayor Stephen A. Wood
As Mayor of Rensselaer, Mayor Stephen A. Wood, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our City. Many alumni of SJC return annually with fond memories of their years at SJC and living in Rensselaer.
Rensselaer has been selected as one of Indiana's top five small communities and is the county seat for Jasper County. We are proud to boast about the amenities not always associated with a small community. Businesses and industries are attracted to our area since we own and operate all of the utilities allowing us to maintain low utility prices, we boast about the great school system both public and parochial, two industrial parks, immaculate parks, a small airport, a newly renovated and progressive hospital, five screen cinema, and Saint Joseph's College enticing higher education. We have a great partnership with SJC and each year look forward to the return of the students.
